GOLF SWEEPS LAWRENCE COUNTY

The golf teams swept Lawrence County yesterday at BlackberryTrail.  Bay Simpson led the Boy’s team with an even par 36 and Catherine Twesme shot a 42 to lead all girls.  The boys won 156 to 163 and the girls won 157 to 168.

ALEXIS SHERROD NAMED TO ALL-STATE BASKETBALL TEAM

Florence senior guard, Alexis Sherrod, was named to the 2015 Alabama Sports Writers Association All-State basketball team.  She also played in the Senior Showcase All-Star Basketball Game earlier this year in Huntsville.  During the 2014-15 season Alexis averaged 15.2 points, 4.25 assists, 4.08 steals, and 4 rebounds per game.  Congratulations, Alexis!
