WOW what a great afternoon we had at the James Clemens Last Chance Invitational this weekend! Our Florence Falcons dominated!! We had 17 PRs!
 
We had 2 teams of varsity boys run at this meet, and  congratulations to both teams for bringing home 3rd place trophies!! You guys are awesome!
Our B team boys was led by two sophomores, Ian Infanger, who came in 12th  with a time of 19:37 and George Vanveckhoven finished 14th overall with a time of 20:04.  
 
Our A team boys  was led by 9th grader Trey Hurt and  Senior Bennett Brake, who led the way together running side by side in front of two St John Paul Catholic School runners. Congratulations to Bennett Brake, for taking the win with an amazing time of 16:24! Trey Hurt finished in 3rd place, with a time of 16:34!
Again, congratulations to BOTH BOYS TEAMS for earning yourselves THIRD PLACE TROPHIES! 
 
Our Varsity girls flew through the course yesterday, and found themselves carrying home a FIRST PLACE TROPHY!!  Congratulations to sophomore Mary Claire Ridgeway, for her amazing comeback, and a first place win, with a time of 19:29.  Senior Sydney Byrd finished 6th overall, with a time of 21:01. Also in the top 20 was 7th grader, Ellie Von Herrmann and 9th grader Sydney Coussons.  Way to go, girls!
 
We had so many awesome runs yesterday and all your coaches are beyond proud of ALL of you! Way to end the season fast and strong!
 
We are in the final stretch of Cross Country season. The stretch where you must dig in and give it all you’ve got. You guys and girls inspire us every day we see you at practice, and at every meet where we watch you do your best. You are motivated and mighty and marvelous!! Keep pushing. You’ve got this!!

Our Mighty Florence Falcons will be competing in the Sectionals Meet at Palmer Park in Madison, AL on Thursday, November 1. Please join us as we cheer on our Falcons!!
