Multiple Teams · The Hardin County Invitational

FLORENCE, AL The Florence Falcons Cross Country teams continued strong seasons at The Hardin County Invitational held at The Horse Creek Wildlife Refuge in Savannah, Tennessee.  Varsity and JV teams ran together in the 5K race.  The course was beautiful yet challenging with a mountainous hill covering a quarter of a mile to the top.

 The women’s team placed three runners in the top fifteen.  Senior, Brandi Fennell, set a personal record for the season with her 22:48 time and third place overall finish.  Junior, Maddie Morris, finished eleventh and sophomore, Kaitlyn Fennell, finished fourteenth to help the girl’s team bring home second place overall out of fourteen teams.

 The men’s team placed second in the team competition placing two runners in the overall top ten. Out of 142 runners senior, Max Erbe, finished third and junior, James Ridgeway, finished fifth. 

 The men’s and women’s cross country teams return to action October 4 in the Jesse Owens Classic at the Oakville Indian Mounds in Danville, AL.
